Meta is rolling out new features for Messenger, its messaging app, and they’re pretty cool. Among the updates is AI-powered noise suppression, which will make your calls clearer and more enjoyable. Messenger is also stepping up its game with HD video calls and voice isolation. You can now enable these features easily via the call settings menu. Plus, HD calls are now the default for Wi-Fi calls, with an option available for calls over cellular networks.

But that’s not all. Messenger now lets you leave voice messages for your contacts when they’re not available. It’s like a digital voicemail. If someone misses your call, you can tap the new “Record message” button and send an audio or video recording. How convenient is that?
And there’s more good news for iPhone users. Siri integration is here! You can now ask Siri to help you make calls and send messages on Messenger. Just say something like “Hey Siri, send a message to Cassandra on Messenger” and dictate your message.

Lastly, Meta has added AI backgrounds for video calls. You’ll soon be able to create AI-generated backgrounds during Messenger video calls by tapping the “effects” icon and selecting “Backgrounds.” These updates follow the introduction of new communities features, the integration of Meta AI chatbot into the Messenger search bar, and tools for sharing large files. Last year, Meta also made end-to-end encryption the default for Messenger conversations. So, stay tuned for more awesome updates from Messenger!
