In what was an otherwise uneventful CES 2025 press conference, Samsung announced that its next Unpacked event will take place on January 22. The timing coincides with earlier reports. The event, which will be livestreamed on Samsung’s site, is expected to unveil the company’s latest flagship phone, the Galaxy S25. This event comes a few days later compared to last year’s Unpacked event, which introduced the S24 on January 17.

In recent years, Samsung has adopted a six-month flagship release cycle, starting with the Galaxy S line in January, followed by the latest versions of its Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold foldables midway through the year. Similar to the press conference on Monday, the company will likely focus on detailing its strategy for “Galaxy AI,” its own initiative to incorporate generative AI into its devices – essentially Samsung’s version of Google Gemini and Apple Intelligence.
