Voice AI startup ElevenLabs has just unveiled a new feature that allows you to upload various types of content to create a multispeaker podcast, similar to Google’s NotebookLM. This feature, called GenFM, is now available on the ElevenLabs Reader iOS app. Currently, GenFM supports 32 languages, including English, Hindi, Portuguese, Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, and more.

To use GenFM, simply upload a YouTube video, text, or document, and the app will automatically select two voices to create a unique podcast. With over a dozen voices to choose from, ElevenLabs is enhancing the AI-generated podcast experience by adding human elements like “ums” and thoughtful pauses.

The goal is to create a natural and engaging conversation flow, similar to exceptional long-form podcasts. As ElevenLabs looks to the future, they plan to offer more customization options and the ability to incorporate multiple sources to generate AI podcasts.

In recent news, ElevenLabs has made significant investments in the Polish startup ecosystem and opened an office in Warsaw to serve as their R&D center. Additionally, the company has expanded operations into India, hiring a business head and assembling a local team to focus on building conversation AI agents for their customers.
