Google is coming out with a cool new experiment that uses AI to help you explore a bunch of different career options. They just announced in a blog post that this new tool called “Career Dreamer” can look at your background, skills, and interests to suggest careers that might suit you.
With Career Dreamer, you can use AI to put together a statement about your career identity by picking your past jobs, skills, experiences, education, and interests. Google says you can add this statement to your resume or use it to guide your talking points during an interview.

Career Dreamer shows you a range of careers that match your background and interests in a visual web. If you’re curious about a certain career, you can dig deeper to learn more about it. The tool even lets you work with Gemini, Google’s AI assistant, to tailor a cover letter or resume and explore more job ideas.
Unlike other job sites like Indeed and LinkedIn, Career Dreamer doesn’t link you to job postings. Instead, it’s meant to help you quickly check out different career paths so you don’t have to do a bunch of separate Google searches. Right now, Career Dreamer is only available for testing in the US.
Google said in their blog post that they made Career Dreamer with input from various groups like students, grads, adult learners, and military personnel. Whether you’re looking to switch careers or simply curious about what’s out there, give Career Dreamer a shot.
