Apple Fixes New Security Flaw Hit by Cyber Hackers

We’re scratching our heads trying to figure out if these two incidents are connected especially since Apple never hinted at anything being related before their February patch.

Can’t wait to see what else Apple has up their sleeve in the future! 🍏✨

Featured Image. Hey there, folks! Exciting news in the tech world – Apple just rolled out some major updates to fix a bug that they suspect might have been used in a super fancy cyber attack against specific folks. Our requests for more info fell on deaf ears, as Apple chose to remain silent. The patches Apple released are now up for grabs for Macs iPhones iPads Safari and even their cool Vision Pro headset.

Apple let us in on the secret that these cyber antics were aimed at devices running software versions “before iOS 17.2.” Unfortunately they kept tight-lipped about who these hackers were targeting. Interestingly back in February Apple faced off against a similar high-tech attack on some other exclusive targets. The bug, known as a zero-day bug, was found in WebKit, the engine that powers Safari and a bunch of other apps. Sneaky hackers were able to sneak out of WebKit’s protective sandbox using some seriously sneaky web content they crafted.

In case you’re wondering a sandbox is like a virtual playpen for your operating system – even if it gets a little messy it stops hackers from snooping around in places they shouldn’t be snooping
